A Miami Mistake

University of Miami fans have been spoiled for so many years. Can we scratch that? Decades. But times have changed for the worse. Miami fans, alums, students, and faculty cannot let the past go. Instead they let go of their brightest young star. Manny Diaz chose Temple but Miami chose Manny and when the Hurricane calls you cannot decline it. Instead of sticking with him after finishing his third season strong they let him go. For who? Super Mario.

Mario Cristobal head football coach at University of Oregon. With the likes of USC, UCLA, and Stanford being in flux he failed to make the College Football Playoffs. Some will point out that Oregon indeed did make the playoffs and the National Championship game but Super Mario was not the head coach. Mark Helfrich was the man. Before that University of Oregon showed success in the BCS era by making the National Champions Game with Chip Kelly. Two coaches did what Super Mario was unable to do. The most overrated coach is wanted by Miami.

Pac-12 conference will be better especially at USC. Utah has destroyed Oregon twice under his best team and they will be a team on the rise. This move was the absolute biggest mistake in Miami History. Firing Manny Diaz fine but why not call Lincoln Riley, Brian Kelly, Brent Venables, Joe Brady and others who have playoff experience? Super Mario will not be Miami’s Superman he will indeed be it’s kryptonite.
